The build of 26 Sep 2026. Works with Path of Exile 3.29 and Path of Exile 2 0.5.5. One download covers FollowBot, AutoBot, CraftBot and the Overlay — your subscription decides which of them will load, not which file you fetch.

Extract it into a folder of its own. Do not run the executable from inside the zip — Windows extracts it to a temporary directory and profile saving breaks.
Not Program Files or Program Files (x86). Windows virtualises writes there and your profiles will appear to save and then silently vanish. A folder on a drive root or under your user folder is fine.
Install the Visual C++ 2015 x64 redistributable if you have not. x64, not x86. A double-click that produces no window and no error is this, far more often than anything else.

Your antivirus will probably quarantine it
The application injects into and reads another process. That is exactly the behaviour heuristic scanners are built to flag,
so expect it — it is not a sign anything is wrong, and it is not a promise that nothing ever could be. Download only
from the download page, then exclude the whole folder rather than restoring
the file, or it will be taken again on the next scan.
Run the executable. You get a Login dialog with Username:, Password: and a Remember Password checkbox. Your licence key goes in Username and Password stays empty. That is the one fact people get wrong.

Tick Remember Password and you type the key once on this machine, not once a launch. After its first sign-in the machine is listed under Hardware; nothing is locked to it — no machine has signed in yet.
Your old forum username and password still work in those same two fields, and always will. Nothing you already have set up needs changing; the key is simply the newer, safer way in.
!
If sign-in starts failing after it has been working, stop retrying
A saved password that has gone stale is retried on every launch, and a burst of failures from one connection trips a temporary back-off. It is a wait, not a lock: your licence is untouched, nobody has to lift it, it clears on its own, and the refusal says so and tells you how long. One sign-in that works clears it outright. Clear the saved password, type it fresh once, and if it still refuses, ask. Retrying only makes the wait longer.
Launch additional Path of Exile clients from the game's own executable, with a separate login for each. No virtual machine, no sandbox, no second Windows user — the game itself does not stop you running more than one, and each client needs its own game account signed in.
With one client running, Load attaches to it directly. With more than one running, FollowApp opens the Process Selector:
Multiple PoE processes found running, drag and drop the target over the window you want to load this profile into.
FollowApp — Process SelectorA small window with a draggable target icon, and underneath it a box that fills in with the name of the window you dropped the target on.Drag the target onto the game window this profile should control, then read the resolved name back before you commit.
Drag the target icon onto the game window you want this profile to control.
Read the resolved window name in the box underneath before you press Load. Dropping the wrong profile into the wrong client is the easiest mistake here, and the symptom — a character doing something almost but not quite right — looks like a configuration bug.
One FollowApp per client. To run four characters you run FollowApp four times, each time with a different profile and a different game window.
Pick an input mode in the dropdown above Load. Four options. Internal is what around nine in ten members run — more features, far faster, and your real mouse and keyboard stay yours while the instances run. Global Inputs (recommended) (the bot takes the actual mouse and keyboard), Controller (recommended) (it plays through a virtual Xbox controller) and Controller (PlayStation) (the same through a virtual PlayStation controller, with no four-pad limit) keep the bot outside the client, which is generally the safer arrangement. In a controller mode, Unfocused input (CTR) in Settings lets the clients sit minimised. Instances and input modes.
Make a profile per characterYou are here
Press New Profile, name it after the character, then Edit Profile → Settings. A profile holds everything for one character: its keybinds, its triggers, its follow position and its behaviour. One profile per character you intend to run.
Setting
What to put in it
Name of character to follow:
Your leader's character name, or leave it blank to follow the party leader. It is an exact match — case and special characters count, and a near miss means the follower has nobody to follow.
Preferred position
A distance Right and a distance Forward, each as a min–max range rather than a single point. Ranges are what stop four followers stacking on one pixel.
Position Helper
Sets the same thing visually instead of by guessing numbers. Twelve presets: Back, Forward, Back Left, Back Right, Forward Left, Forward Right, Back Half, Forward Half, Left Wing, Right Wing, Back Left Quad, Back Right Quad.
Position relative to leader's rotation
Holds the offset relative to which way you are facing rather than to the world.
Auto loot / Loot distance:
Whether to loot at all, and how far it will divert to reach an item. Your in-game loot filter is the looting configuration — the bot takes what the filter leaves visible and has no item list of its own.
Auto accept party invites
Tick it, and put your leader's character name in the restriction field so it only accepts from you.
Auto accept trade requests
Same, same name.
Movement Key: · Inventory Key: · Close all interfaces key:
Must match what those actions are bound to in game. FollowApp does not read your Path of Exile keybinds; it sends the keys you type here.
For the second, third and fourth character use Copy Profile rather than building each one again — then change the name and anything the characters do not share.
A new profile already fights: its Auto-Input tab plays the character from the skill bar — main attack held, other skills as they come off cooldown, flasks on charges — with no inputs written. The Manual tab beside it is for what Auto-Input’s per-slot rules cannot say, and a Manual input wins any key it shares with an Auto-Input slot. Auto-Input.
Edit Profile → Manual → New Input, then pick a type. Each input is a labelled entry in the profile with its own keys and its own condition — a flask, a skill, a link, an attack.
Type
Fires when
Timed Input
On an interval. Utility flasks, Vaal skills.
Health / ES Trigger
Life above or below a percentage; a checkbox switches it to energy shield.
Distance Trigger
Distance to the leader is above or below a number of units.
On New Zone
You enter a new zone.
On Respawn
After death.
Attack
Monsters in range — with aim distance, engage distance, right-click attack, a minimum monster count and a monster rarity. The richest type.
Monsters Nearby Trigger
At least N monsters are within a radius.
Mana Trigger
Mana above or below, as a percentage or a flat value.
Link Input
Aimed at a named character, or the leader if left blank; optionally waits until they are in range.
Auto Flask / Tincture
Bound to a flask slot rather than a key, so uptime follows the flask.
Buff Input
A buff is missing, its stacks drop below a number, or its remaining time drops below a number of milliseconds. Use the buff ID, not the name — names change with client language.
•
Start with two, not eleven
A Timed Input for your utility flasks and a Health / ES Trigger for a life flask is a working
follower. Add the rest once you have watched that much behave in a real zone.
Every type also carries Elapse: (ms) — the minimum time between fires — and Humanize Inputs, which randomises the timing instead of firing on an exact cadence. Set both on anything that fires often.
Once a profile is loaded, three keyboard hotkeys control the bot. These are the defaults.
Key
Action
INSERT
Activate — start the bot.
DELETE
Pause — it stops acting immediately and stays loaded. This is the one to reach for when you want manual control for a moment.
END
Unload — detach from the game client completely. Use it when you are done, before you close the client.
All three are reassignable in the Hotkeys dialog, which has a Defaults button that puts them back. If you run remote-desktop or Mouse Without Borders, move them to keys you do not otherwise use.
!
Never map a controller button to INSERT, DELETE or END
Those are activate, pause and unload. A stray thumb on a mapped button unloads the bot in the middle of a map, and it will look like a crash rather than an input.
Instances and pooling
One instance is one character under the bot’s control — one running game client with a profile loaded into it. Not one account, not one computer; your own character counts if you run a profile on it. Your Main licence has 10 — so ten clients under automation at once, on one machine or spread across several. The eleventh is the one that fails, not a random one.
One instance is one character under the bot’s control — one running game client with a profile loaded into it. Not one account, not one computer; your own character counts if you run a profile on it. Your licences allow a number of them — that many clients under automation at once, on one machine or spread across several. The one past the limit is the one that fails, not a random one.
The limit counts what is running now, not what you have ever run. Close a client, start a different one, and the slot moves. There is nothing to release.
Plans add together. Main holds two FollowBot 5-instance plans, which is why it reads 10. If you want a plan kept separate — you are handing it to someone, or isolating it on its own hardware — it can be split into its own licence with its own key, the way Guild — Ryn was.

Machines are not limited. Nothing is locked to the PC the app signs in from: put the key in the app on another PC and sign in. Hardware lists the machines that have signed in with each key, and the instance count is the only limit.
Nothing renews on its own. There is no card on file and no automatic charge. A subscription runs to its date and stops, and you renew it when you choose to. Main expires 14 Sep 2026; Guild — Ryn expires 27 Aug 2026, which is 6 days away.
Nothing renews on its own. There is no card on file and no automatic charge. A subscription runs to its date and stops, and you renew it when you choose to. Your dates are on the Overview.
When one does lapse, the client stops launching and says plainly that the subscription expired — not “no subscription found”. Your key, your profiles and your history all survive. Renewing turns it back on and nothing has to be set up again.
The one thing worth doing now is asking to be told before it happens.
Email me 5 days before a licence lapses, and again on the day.Message me on Discord before a licence lapses.set_renewal_reminder
When something is wrong, ask before you rebuild anything. The drawer on any page reads your own account — which machine signed in, what the server actually refused, how many instances are live — and says what is happening rather than guessing. Discord is there for everything else.
Two things. The bot can hold a controller of its own — Controller or Controller (PlayStation) in the input dropdown above Load, with the ViGEmBus driver installed and the client in controller mode; PlayStation has no four-pad limit, and Unfocused input (CTR) in Settings lets those clients sit minimised. The rest of this note is the other thing: you hold the controller, and FollowApp sends keyboard input to the client it is attached to. That is all in the Hotkeys dialog, per profile.
Set Device Index:, then move the left stick and watch the Left Stick X / Y: readout beside it. If the numbers move, you picked the right device. If they are dead, nothing downstream will work — change the index before configuring anything else.
The mapping table covers 26 controls — A, B, X, Y, LB, RB, LT, RT, four D-pad directions, Select, Start, both stick clicks, both sticks in four directions each, and Player 1 and Player 2. Each sends one keyboard key. There are Clear and Defaults buttons.
Player 1: and Player 2: switch which of your two profiles the controller is driving. That is what makes a controller useful for multiboxing: one controller, swap which character it steers.
Two things catch people. The keys you map must be bound in game — mapping A: to Q does nothing unless Q does something. And put the game into keyboard-and-mouse mode, not controller mode, or you get both interpretations at once and every input fires twice.
Keep Alive — launching the client for you
Run on the main window starts the selected profile’s game client and loads the profile into it; Load attaches to a client that is already running. Keep Alive makes Run also relaunch the client whenever it closes. Both are per profile, in Edit Profile → Tools, on the Keep Alive tab.
Field
What it does
Keep Alive - relaunch the game when it closes
Off = Run starts the client once.
Windows User:
The Windows account the client runs as. The dropdown lists the enabled accounts on this machine. Blank = run as you.
Password:
That account’s Windows password. Show reveals it; Test login asks Windows whether it accepts the pair, without launching anything.
Path:
The client executable. Browse... opens where the client was last run from. Run is greyed out without it.
Swap this profile's captured config and login into the game folder on Run
Put this profile’s captured game config and saved login in place before the client starts.
Capture current / Clear
Copy the config and saved login the game is using right now into this profile, or remove the capture.
Several game accounts from one profile list: log into the game as the account the profile is for with stay logged in ticked, close it, press Capture current. Every Run of that profile — and every relaunch after a crash — then swaps that config and saved login into the game folder before the client starts, so it comes up as that account. FollowApp never sees or stores your Path of Exile password; the saved-login file is the game’s own.
The Tools window’s second tab, HWID, makes the game see a different machine per profile (Enable, Generate new IDs). It only works through Run — Load is greyed out while it is on. The HWID tab.
If the app says wrong password
Three real causes, in order of how often they are the one:
The key is in the wrong field. The key goes in Username; Password stays empty.
A typo. The key is four groups of five letters and digits, with dashes between them. Copy it from your dashboard rather than retyping it.
A stale saved entry.Remember Password on that machine kept an older value and is retrying it. Clear both fields and paste the key in fresh once.
And one that is not a password problem at all: an expired subscription looks identical from the client. Check the date on your Overview before you assume anything. A wrong try on a key costs nothing — a key has no account lockout, because nobody can lock you out by guessing at one.

Step 4. Your key has signed in from four machines and there are four instances live right now, so steps 1 to 3 are genuinely done — the app is installed, signed in and attached.
What is not done is a profile per character. You have four running; the fifth, sixth and beyond are what step 4 and step 5 buy you.

The step marked You are here on the page above — and three of those ticks are not guesses: whether a machine has ever signed in with your key, whether more than one client is under automation right now, and whether the renewal reminder is on are all read from your account. The rest are yours to tick when you have done them.
If a tick looks wrong, it is the account that is right and the tick that is stale — the page re-reads it every time you open it.

Expect it. The application injects into and reads another process, which is the exact behaviour heuristic scanners exist to catch, so a flag is not evidence of anything either way.
What to do: make sure the file came from the download page and nowhere else, then exclude the whole folder, not the single file. Restoring the file on its own gets it quarantined again on the next scan.
If the exe is simply missing after extraction, that is what happened: it was removed silently. Re-extract after the exclusion is in place.

Yours is not an expiry: Main runs to 14 Sep 2026 and the server has not refused a sign-in from this key in the last 24 hours. So the refusal is happening before the key reaches us.
Worth ruling out first: an expired subscription looks identical from the client. Your dates are in step 8 and on the Overview — check them before you assume it is the password.
A wrong try costs nothing. A key has no account lockout, which is the point of it — nobody can lock you out by guessing.

A follower that stops following in a new zone is almost always this setting with a name that no longer matches exactly.

Possibly none. A new profile’s Auto-Input tab plays the character from its skill bar — main attack held, other skills as they come off cooldown, flasks on charges — with nothing written. The Manual tab is for what its per-slot rules cannot say. Auto-Input.
If you are writing Manual inputs, two to start: a Timed Input on your utility flasks, and a Health / ES Trigger on a life flask. That is a follower that survives and keeps its buffs up, and it is enough to watch behave in a real zone before you add anything else.
After that, in the order people actually add them: Attack, then Buff Input for anything with stacks, then Link Input if you run a support.
Set Elapse: (ms) on everything that fires often, and turn on Humanize Inputs so the timing is not an exact cadence. On a Buff Input, use the buff ID rather than its name — names change with the client language.

Yes. All three live in the Hotkeys dialog and each is a key-capture field: INSERT activate, DELETE pause, END unload. There is a Defaults button that puts all three back.
They are stored in the profile, so a rebind travels with Copy Profile and does not follow you to a profile you built separately.
One rule, whatever you choose: do not map a controller button to any of them. A stray thumb on unload in the middle of a map reads as a crash and is not one.
